History

Marinochem Limited (formally Dynea Ireland Limited) began operations in 1997 at Marino Point, Cobh, Co.Cork, to manufacture aminoplast resin adhesives for the panel board (MDF and chipboard) and firelighter industries.

Our resins, manufactured entirely at our Cork plant, provide effective high performance solutions for a variety of adhesive applications in a range of bulk batch sizes.

Manufacturing at the site is highly automated in nature and a committed team of 27 people is employed to ensure that the highest standards are adhered to.

Marinochem’s parent company, Tennants Consolidated Limited, is a privately owned conglomerate group, headquartered in London. The origins of the company go back to the late 1700’s when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland.

Environment

Marinochem are committed to exceeding the highest environmental standards on site and operations are certified to the ISO14001 management system. State of the art catalytic oxidisers are used to clean any airborne emissions (and are moinitored by continuous online anaysers). Almost all rainfall falling on, and any water generated by, the site is captured, cleaned and recycled within site operations.

Marinochem are licenced by the Environmental Protection Agency in Ireland and have been issued an Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) Licence which controls all aspects of the site which are likely to have an impact on the environment.

Health & Safety

Marinochem’s health and safety management system is certified to the international ISO45001:2018 standard in order to ensure that the site operations are carried out to the best practice. We are commited to continually improving our performance in these areas and our highly experienced health and safety team work hard to meet these targets.

We commit to prioritising the welfare of our employees and carry out regular monitoring of the work environment and offer all employees a full medical on an annual basis. We also commit to being a good neighbour and are in regular contact with people in the immediate locality to keep them informed of our operations.

Quality

At Marinochem,we are committed to delivering products of the highest quality. Our urea and melamine-based formaldehyde adhesives undergo careful manufacture and rigorous testing to ensure consistent performance and adherence to industry standards.
State of the art manufacturing equipment and highly trained production personnel ensure that the products being manufactured meet the exacting requirements of our customers.

Two, well-equipped, laboratories and highly experienced personnel analyse the raw materials and finished products to further gurantee the quality performance of our products. The management of all manufacturing and service operations on site is certified by the ISO9001:2015 international quality management standard.
